The most absurd scene i attended in rome ... - these are the so called "holy steps" - "scala sancta" that are supposed to be the staircase from Pontius Pilate’s mansion, on which the Catholics are told Christ was made to walk on his knees, carrying the cross. In the Catholic Church, a plenary indulgence (Sündenablass) is granted for climbing these stairs on the knees.These stairs claimed to have been transported to Rome from Jerusalem by St. Helena in the 4th Century.

A holy place - whatever ... and then this ? GOD-zilla ?! ;) - thank you !
